Jason Castro had a rough night Tuesday on American Idol. Picking I Shot the Sheriff by Bob Marley (presumably for reasons of dreadlock solidarity), he made a shambles of it. Then, in the midst of an otherwise spirited Mr. Tambourine Man, he forgot a big chunk of Bob Dylan’s vivid lyrics. Only a highly mobilized and forgiving fan base can save him on tonight’s elimination show.
Could you feel the tension build as “American Idol” got down to its Final Four? No. It wasn’t even close on Tuesday. With the theme being the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the foursome had a vast catalog for song selection. Some stumbled with choices, others tripped with performances.
